TSC Announces Lucrative Contract Job Vacancies

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced lucrative contract job vacancies for eligible Kenyan applicants. TSC is an Independent government Commission established under the Constitution of Kenya, article 237 to manage human resources within the education sector.

In a notice released on Tuesday, February 6, the Commission is inviting applications from qualified, experienced, results-oriented, and highly motivated individuals to fill various positions on a contractual basis:

  1. Director – Teacher Discipline Management (3 posts)
  2. Director Staffing (3 posts)
  3. Director Human Resource and Development (3 posts)
  4. Director – Internal Audit (3 posts)
  5. Director – ICT (3 posts)
  6. Deputy Director – Teacher Management (5 posts)Interested candidates can find more details about the vacancies on the Commission’s website at www.tsc.go.ke.The deadline for applications is 5:00 p.m. on February 21, 2024.

    The notice which was signed by TSC CEO DR Nancy Macharia stated that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

    The Kenyan Constitution outlines the mandate and functions of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) as follows:

    1. Register trained teachers.
    2. Recruit and employ registered teachers.
    3. Assign teachers employed by the Commission for service in any public school or institution.
    4. Promote and transfer teachers.
    5. Exercise disciplinary control over teachers.
    6. Terminate the employment of teachers.
    7. Review the standards of education and training of individuals entering the teaching service.
    8. Evaluate the demand for and the supply of teachers.
    9. Advise the national government on matters related to the teaching profession.
